Horizon 2020
Science with and for Society 2018

Welcome to the website of the brokerage event targeted at all stakeholders interested in the Science with and for Society Programme of Horizon 2020

29th January 2018 | 8:30 - 16:30
Brussels | Belgium

The ‘Science with and for Society’ programme will be instrumental in addressing the European societal challenges tackled by Horizon 2020, building capacities and developing innovative ways of connecting science to society. It will make science more attractive (notably to young people), increase society's appetite for innovation, and open up further research and innovation activities.

It allows all societal actors (researchers, citizens, policy makers, business, third sector organisations etc.) to work together during the whole research and innovation process in order to better align both the process and its outcomes with the values, needs and expectations of European society. This approach to research and innovation is called Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI).

Please be informed that participation in this event is only possible for those who have already registered and the priority will be given to the participants of bilateral meetings. Your participation is confirmed only when your profile is validated by the organisers.

How the brokerage event works

1. Registration | 15th Nov 2017 to 20th Jan 2018

2. Set up a profile
Next you create a profile that will be visible to other participants on the event website. The profile should describe what you are looking for and can offer to potential partners.  The sooner you set up your profile, the better chance other delegates will have to request meetings with you.

3. Request meetings | 1st Jan to 20th Jan.
From the 1st of January you can start to receive and send meetings requests to other participants who you would like to meet at the event.  You have until January 20th to finalise your meeting requests.

4. Build connections at the event | 29th Jan. 2018
A few days prior to the event you will receive an email with your meetings schedule showing who you will meet, what time, and the table number where the meeting will take place. You can always check this online.
